The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is a nonprofit organization committed to ending hunger in 27 counties across central Pennsylvania. By working with more than 1,100 local agencies and programs, we serve more than 144,000 people in need each month through our two Healthy Food Hubs, located in Harrisburg and Williamsport.
We fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in the Shippensburg community.


ALDI is a part of the community. Responsibility means making a positive contribution to the community by supporting nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving Children’s Health & Wellness and combating Food Insecurity. For organizations whose mission or core programs meet these pressing issues head on, ALDI provides financial contributions and donations of products or gift cards.
In an area that is so agriculturally abundant, we still struggle to ensure everyone has access to fresh to fruits and vegetables. Our produce is distributed, at no cost, to many locations around Adams and Franklin counties to increase the number of access points for our community members.


We’re strong believers in giving back to the communities we serve. Each year, Weis Markets and it’s associates make direct and in-kind donations to numerous charities and organizations throughout our market area, including food banks, community-based health care organizations, schools, pet shelters, the United Way, and many other local charities.
Walmart’s more than 2 million associates are residents, neighbors, friends and family in thousands of communities around the globe. Walmart works to strengthen these communities through both our retail business and community giving. We support and invest in communities through local giving, encouraging volunteerism, and through programs to strengthen community cohesion.


The Career Center provides student/alumni-centered career and professional development programs, experiences, and learning opportunities to assist students to develop and achieve personal and professional goals. The Center will implement career and professional development program initiatives through service-learning, employer and alumni collaboration, and outreach on and off the University campus to foster campus and community partnerships.
The farm strives to promote sustainable agriculture through education and outreach programming to local elementary, middle, and high schools as well as summer programs, scouting groups, and other community organizations.


The Partnership for Better Health is a community foundation that works collaboratively with key stakeholders throughout parts of Cumberland, Perry, Adams and Franklin Counties to positively influence the lives of our neighbors. Through community investment, engagement and good stewardship, we foster sustainable solutions to some of today’s toughest health challenges.

Chick-fil-A actively supports local hunger relief through its Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which facilitates the donation of surplus food from restaurants to local soup kitchens, shelters, and other nonprofits, resulting in over 30 million meals to date from participating locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Through the Schreiber Foods Foundation, we strengthen our community by awarding grants to charitable organizations that address basic needs. We focus our philanthropic support in the areas of food, housing and education.
The FirstEnergy Foundation’s contributions to local nonprofit organizations help strengthen the social and economic fabric of our communities. Shippensburg University is a dedicated partner in the fight against food insecurity, actively supporting both its students and the greater community. Furthermore, Shippensburg University extends its impact into the local area through collaborations, including its partnership with Shippensburg Produce and Outreach (SPO). This commitment is often supported by efforts like the SU Campus Farm and student-led initiatives.
